BG woman busted for drug trafficking after leading police on high-speed chase on

On Wednesday afternoon the Warren County Sheriff's Office observed a Pontiac passenger car traveling at a high rate of speed on Scottsville Road.

Police tried to execute a traffic stop on the Pontiac when the driver, 51-year-old Sookie Shreve, of Bowling Green, fled authorities at a high rate of speed.

After a short pursuit, police used stop sticks to disable Shreve's vehicle, and she was taken into custody in the 2800 block of Old Scottsville Road. Police searched the vehicle and discovered a quantity of methamphetamine.

Police said a short time later, authoritie obtained a search warrant for Shreve’s home on Cemetery Road and discovered more meth, and arrested two people at the residence, 64-year-old Victor Burke and 46-year-old Shylah Whirley, both of Bowling Green.

They were charged with possession of a controlled substance and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Shreve was arrested and charged with six counts of wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance (meth), DUI, and fleeing or evading police among other charges.

Shreve, who has a long history of drug arrests in Warren and surrounding counties, was also served with three outstanding arrest warrants.

She is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail in two bonds totaling $12,500.
