Elizabethtown man with HIV charged with prostitution, cocaine possession

On Wednesday morning, a report of a strong chemical smell coming from a residence on Central Avenue in Elizabethtown resulted in the arrest of four people.

Payton Lee, 23, of Elizabethtown, who was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession marijuana, told Elizabethtown police he had been diagnosed with HIV, according to the News Enterprise.

Police said Lee allegedly performed a sex act on another man, resulting in him also being charged with prostitution while knowingly infected with HIV, a class D felony.

Also arrested were Lee’s twin brother, Layton Lee, 68-year-old Charles Smith and 47-year-old Chasidy Johnson 47. Smith and Layton Lee were charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).

All four were lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
