A woman has been arrested after setting her husband on fire.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office arrested 40-year-old Vera Wooten, of London, late Monday night after she allegedly poured gasoline on her husband and set him on fire. Investigators say the assault was the result of a domestic violence incident gone awry.
Media reports indicate Wooten drove her husband to a local hospital before he was airlifted to a Cincinnati hospital.
The victim suffered burns over 50 percent of his body and was listed in critical condition, according to reports.
Wooten was arrested and lodged in the Laurel County Jail where she’s been charged with first degree domestic violence assault.
