Rough River Dam State Resort Park has announced on its Facebook page that the beaches at the resort have been closed.
The announcement says that the beach closure is due to testing revealing “higher than acceptable levels of E. coli.” The announcement continues, saying that “the park tests the water for safety of its guests and follows guidelines established by the health department.”
When follow-up tests show that the levels are safe, the beach will re-open, according of park officials.
