Wednesday morning at approximately 2:40, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to the 90 mile marker of westbound Western Kentucky Parkway on the report of a car versus deer accident.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Fred Norder found a disabled GMC Acadia in the middle of the right lane of the parkway, with the driver, 55-year-old Mary Sebourn, of Biggers, Arkansas, in the driver’s seat. The vehicle was located not far beyond a significant curve, making the situation more dangerous, resulting in Deputy Norder pushing the car out of the roadway and onto the shoulder.

The injured Sebourn, who complained of neck, back and shoulder pain, had to be helped out of the vehicle by EMS.

Based on marks at the scene, as Sebourn came out of the curve she struck a deer, causing major damage to the front end of the vehicle. The GMC traveled about 100 yards on the road after hitting the deer.

Sebourn was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS.
