Tuesday morning at approximately 6:00, the Madisonville Police Department responded to a disturbance at the North Main Street McDonald’s restaurant.

According to police, an ambulance was requested at the restaurant when 50-year-old Michael Davis, of Nortonville, began complaining of stomach pains. Davis told medical personnel he had been thrown from a Hopkins County deputy’s cruiser while traveling at 85 mph, according to a report by Surfky.com.

Davis, though, showed no signs of suffering trauma.

Davis then threatened EMS workers, and claimed the deputy who threw him from the cruiser was in possession of a severed head.

Upon police arriving, Davis was taken into custody, and while being processed into the Hopkins County Detention Center, Davis told police he would have a friend cut off the deputy’s head.

Davis was charged with public intoxication (excluding alcohol), terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct.
