Owensboro woman receives second DUI; police find meth and weed in search

Monday night at approximately 11:00, Kentucky State Police executed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 54, just east of Owensboro, for a traffic violation.

Upon making contact with the driver, 27-year-old Kelsey L. Lanham, of Owensboro, police determined her to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Lanham was arrested for DUI, her second such arrest, and during a search of Lanham and her vehicle, authorities located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and a glass pipe. In addition to the DUI charge, Lanham was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, and traffic violations.

Her passenger, 49-year-old Billie Combs, of Owensboro, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and failure to wear a seat belt.

Both were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. Lanham remains detained on a $15,000 bond while Combs has been released.
