On Friday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police arrived at 315 West Union Street Lot 15, in Hartford, to serve a felony arrest warrant.

Upon arriving at the home, police determined the wanted subject, 26-year-old Peggy Arnold, of Hartford, was in the home but refused to open the door, according to authorities, causing the officers to make forcible entry.

While clearing the residence, police located two men, 33-year-old Charles Lee, of Hartford, and 31-year-old Norben Leisure, of Beaver Dam, in a back bedroom. Officers then found a woman, 39-year-old Rebekah Calloway, of Beaver Dam, hiding behind the door in a bathroom.

Also located in the bathroom were approximately four grams of methamphetamine “and a hypodermic needle lying on top of fecal fragments in the toilet,” according to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty.

After conducting a brief search, Arnold was located in a spare bedroom under a hollowed-out piece of furniture.

All four suspects were arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Calloway was served with three outstanding warrants, with Lee and Arnold served with one outstanding warrant each.

Three of the suspects were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on $5,000 bonds. Arnold is being detained in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Arnold’s arrest history dates back to at least 2014. She has been arrested at least six times in that time span on a variety of drug charges including, manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a meth precursor and trafficking in a controlled substance, among several other charges.

Calloway was convicted in 2013 in Ohio County for criminal facilitation to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), wanton endangerment, and unlawful possession of a meth precursor. She was granted shock probation.

Lee was arrested in late December 2017 on a methamphetamine possession charge in Ohio County. Leisure was arrested in 2013 on a multitude of sex-related charges, also in Ohio County.
