Monday morning at approximately 7:00, Kentucky State Police responded to the 71 mile marker of southbound I-65, near Bonnieville, on the report of a two-vehicle accident.
Police said 60-year-old Nita Miller, of Elizabethtown, was driving a 2012 Nissan Juke south and in front of 22-year-old Taylor Boiling, of Quitman, Arkansas, when Boiling’s vehicle struck the Nissan, causing both drivers to lose control.
Miller’s Nissan crossed multiple lanes, struck a concrete barrier and re-entered the roadway. The Nissan then exited the southbound shoulder and hit an embankment, according to Kentucky State Police. Boiling’s vehicle left the right shoulder of the road and also hit an embankment, causing the vehicle to flip multiple times.
Boiling was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Miller was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital.
