The Munfordville man accused of putting glass shards into Styrofoam cups that were being shipped to restaurants has pled guilty to tampering with consumer products.
Waylon J. Horton, 44, entered the plea in federal court last week in Bowling Green, according to media reports. Horton was arrested in 2016 after Dart Container Corporation in Horse Cave contacted authorities about product tampering while Horton worked at the company.
Horton admitted to placing glass shards in cups on two occasions in 2016.
Formal sentencing is scheduled for October 11.
