Friday morning at approximately 1:00, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to 480 Kendall Road on the report of an injured man.

Upon arriving at the scene, Deputies Dylan Bohn and Kelsey Overton found that a 23-year-old male had fallen as he walked on a private dock, striking his head on a rock as he fell (the man’s name was not available at the scene).

Deputies found the man unconscious, and with a head injury. Grayson County EMS had already requested the victim be airlifted. Deputies Bohn and Overton then had to carry the victim about 100 yards up a series of steps from the dock to the top of an embankment.

The victim was transported the short distance from Kendall Road to Johnny Frank Road, where the Leitchfield Fire Department set up a landing zone for the incoming medical helicopter (which landed in the side yard of a residence). He was then transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
