Bill G. Trent, age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 7, 2018) at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on August 20, 1939 in Wallins Creek, KY, the son of the late Noah and Ester Brock Trent.
He was a metal fabricator and machine operator for Hyper Alloys in Roseville, MI. He enjoyed watching U.K. basketball and Cleveland Indians baseball. He loved to sing and had recorded an album in Nashville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He attended Leitchfield Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Head Trent of Leitchfield; two sons, Mark Trent of Nicholasville, KY and Randall Trent (Amanda) of Wilmore, KY; five grandchildren, Brendan Trent, Jackson Trent, Jonathan Trent, Jayden Trent and Josh Setty; siblings, Irene Towers, Herb Trent, Frank Trent, Drusilla Rose, Joyce Mitchell, Helen Green, Jerry Trent, Shirley Head, Noah Trent, Tim Trent, John Trent, Donnie Trent, and Linda Nash.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest and Bob Trent and one sister, Netha Brock.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CST on Monday, (August 13, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Mason and Bro. Jerry Trent will be officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. (noon) CST to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
