The Owensboro Police Department has charged a woman with first-degree assault after she shot a man multiple times Sunday morning at approximately 12:45.
Police charged 35-year-old Katherine Hoffmann, of Owensboro, in the shooting of 36-year-old Omari McFarlane. The shooting took place in the 1900 block of East 17th Street, according to police.
When officers arrived on the scene, authorities found that McFarlane had been shot multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hoffman, who was arrested Sunday afternoon, is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
