The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is accepting donations for the victims of Hurricane Michael.

Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins said he has spoken with law enforcement personnel on the Florida Panhandle, specifically Panama City Beach, and they are requesting tarps. Chaffins said the tarps will be used to protect homes, and other structures that are missing roofs.

Anyone wishing to donate a tarp is asked to drop it off at the sheriff’s office, located on the Town Square. Please drop off the donation between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday. The sheriff apologizes for the short notice, but someone will deliver the tarps to Panama City Beach on Friday, October 19.

Shop with a Cop

Additionally, the sheriff’s office is now accepting requests for participation in the Shop with a Cop program. Please call 270-259-3024 and ask for Mandy or Sandra.
