A man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his half-brother in Bullitt County.
Friday morning at approximately 7:15, police received a call about a dead body at a residence on Majestic Boulevard, near Hillview. Upon officers from several departments arriving on the scene, police found that the house “was barricaded,” as authorities heard several shots fired from inside the home. After making entry, police found an unidentified male had been fatally shot multiple times in the chest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police detained two subjects inside the residence. At 11;30 Friday morning, and after questioning both subjects, authorities arrested 48-year-old Edward L. Alcorn Jr., of Louisville, and charged him with murder. Alcorn told police that he thought his half-brother was an intruder.
He was lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center where he’s being held on a $1 million bond.
