Four Lady Cougars recognized at District Tournament

Despite their season ending after a loss to Whitesville Trinity on Monday, four Lady Cougars were recognized following Thursday night’s district championship game for their performance on the court and in the classroom.

Juniors Laura Vincent and Bailey Snyder were both named to the all-tournament team for their performance in Monday’s game. Vincent led the team with 12 points and 7 rebounds while Snyder had 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Vincent, along with junior Kenzie Renfrow, was named to the All-Seasonal team which recognized the top players in the district over the entire season. On the year, the forward finished by averaging 9.3 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per game. This season, she had a career best game in a loss to Daviess County where she had career highs in points (18) and rebounds (15).

Renfrow led the team in scoring by averaging 12.3 points per game and also pulling down over 6 rebounds a game. The guard had a near triple double at home vs. Whitesville Trinity as she scored 13 points, had 11 rebounds and dished out 8 assists.

In addition to the recognition of on the court achievements, senior Kaylee Masden was named to the All-Academic team which recognizes hard work inside the classroom. Masden will attend Lindsey Wilson College next season and run for their cross country/track team.
