KSP seizes cocaine, pills, handgun, over $3,000 during I-65 traffic stop

Kentucky State Police seized pills, cocaine, a handgun, and over $3,000 in cash during a traffic stop on I-65 in Warren County.

Sunday night at approximately 8:30, state police conducted a traffic stop on an erratic driver near the 28 mile marker of southbound I-65. Upon making contact with the driver, 35-year-old Barry Adams, a felon, troopers discovered he was in possession of a handgun, 50 Hydrocodone pills, two grams of suspected cocaine and $3,313 in cash, according to state police.

Adams was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail where he was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine, his second offense), trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, DUI, being a persistent felony offender, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
