Kentucky State Police arrested a Chicago man traveling well over 100 miles per hour on I-65 with drugs and a gun in the car.

On Wednesday, state police executed a traffic stop on 21-year-old Derrick Freeman after he was clocked going 110 miles per hour on the interstate, in Warren County. According to a report by WNKY.com, Freeman appeared to be nervous when speaking to troopers and told police two different stories as to why he was traveling in the area.

A police K-9 unit was dispatched to the scene with the drug dog alerting to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the car revealed over an ounce of marijuana, a loaded gun, two digital scales, and a large amount of cash.

Freeman was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, and speeding 26 mph or more over the limit. He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail but has since posted a $6,000 unsecured bond.
