A Caneyville man has been arrested on multiple drug charges after a lengthy investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and other agencies.

Last week, the task force, Grayson County Sheriff’s office and Leitchfield Police Department arrived at a residence in the 2300 block of Morgantown Road and executed a search warrant for the property.

During a search of the home, police located and seized “several pounds of marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash and numerous firearms,” according to Sheriff Norman Chaffins. Additionally, authorities seized multiple vehicles.

Police arrested 50-year-old Thomas D. Scott, of Caneyville, and charged him with acquiring property/enterprise from income derived from trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana (more than five pounds), cultivating marijuana, and possession of marijuana.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but he has since been released.
