General Mills is voluntarily recalling certain bags of flour from store shelves after finding a sample contained E. coli bacteria.

“Gold Medal Unbleached All-Purpose Flour” bags with a use-by date of September 6, 2020, is the only recalled product. Company officials urge consumers to check their bags of flour, and if the date matches the specified lot, throw the bag away.

At this time, there have been no reports of illnesses related to the recall.

This strain of E. coli usually sickens people within three to four days of exposure, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Its symptoms include diarrhea and cramps, and patients typically recover within a week.
