An intoxicated Big Clifty woman has been arrested after kicking in the door and illegally entering a Bloomington Road home where her ex-husband resides.

Monday morning at approximately 4:00, Grayson County Deputy Zane Greer responded to a burglary complaint in the 4500 block of Bloomington Road. Upon arriving at the scene, Greer found 46-year-old Christy M. McMillen attempting to leave in a van. As Greer approached, McMillen exited the van and “appeared to be trying to leave on foot,” according to the arrest citation.

During the investigation, Greer discovered that McMillen had previously been “trespassed” from the residence.

After showing signs of impairment, the suspect was given a field sobriety test and arrested.

Greer then spoke with the property’s owner, who is also the mother of the resident, and was told that McMillen had arrived at the home and kicked in the door as her ex-husband was taking a shower, the citation says. Greer noted in the citation that the front door of the residence had been damaged and would not properly close.

McMillen was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for medical clearance where she admitted to a nurse she had taken Xanax and Gabapentin.

She was charged with second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, DUI (non-alcohol), third-degree criminal trespassing, failure to produce an insurance card, and not having a driver’s license in her possession.

McMillen is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
