2 Butler Co. residents jailed after search of residence yields methamphetamine

Two Butler County residents have been arrested on drug charges after law enforcement executed a search warrant early Friday morning.

According to Morgantown Police Department Chief Giles Taylor, Friday morning at approximately 12:45, the Morgantown PD and Butler County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant in the 200 block of Sawmill Road.

Upon searching the residence, police located two bags of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested 42-year-old Thomas V. Smith and 30-year-old Autumn S. Davis and charged each with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was additionally charged with tampering with physical evidence.

The suspects were lodged in the Butler County Jail. Davis is no longer listed as an inmate.
