Several GCHS musicians earn All-State Orchestra, All-District Orchestra honors

Grayson County High School has announced that several musicians have earned All-District and All-State Orchestra honors this year.

Advancing to play with the All-State Orchestra at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Conference at the Center of the Arts in Louisville in February were Dawson Gorby, Steven Phillips, Elliot Horn, Katlyn Guyton, Payton Abney, Michell Lynch, and Shelby Dodd.

The All-District Orchestra will feature more than two dozen GCHS musicians this year, including  Shahallie Huff, Carley Mann, Katlyn Guyton, Emily Logsdon, Mia Whitfill, Josh Collins, Katie Dudgeon, Zoe Coles, Branson Evans, Abigail Garrett, Mak Arnold, Sarah Helms, Dawson Gorby, Alex Hazelwood, Shelby Dodd, Allie Wagner, Michell Lync, Conner Dennis, Taeja Parsons, Marinah Akridge, Austin Walker, Brooklyn Glasscock, Jacob VanMetre, Mallory Neal, Payton Abney, and Emma Beck.

All-District Orchestra weekend will be held January 15 through 16 at Western Kentucky University.
