A mother has shot and killed her son in central Kentucky.
The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old James Davis was fatally shot by his mother during a domestic incident at a residence approximately 10 miles east of Nicholasville.
Davis’ mother summoned help to the scene, but he later died at a Lexington hospital. The mother, who told police she shot her son in self-defense, has not been charged.
The investigation continues.
