Marvie Lewis McClellan, age 90, of McDaniels, KY, passed away Saturday, (March 1, 2020) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on January 16, 1930 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late John and Ella Baker McClellan.
He was a Ford Certified Mechanic who worked at Willis Brothers Ford for more than 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, making bird houses, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a member of the McDaniels Antioch Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Smith (James) of McDaniels, KY; a son, Kevin McClellan (Kim) of Mulberry Grove, IL; six grandchildren, Chasity Williams, Ryan McClellan (Jamie), DeLisa Thompson (Doug), Bethany Brown (Will), Brandon Stevenson (Kayla) and Kayla Wheatley (James); 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy McLellan (Jeanette) of Vine Grove, KY, Johnny McClellan (Dollie) of Rockport, IN, Irene Butler (Darrell) of Leitchfield, Sue Duncan (Raymond) of Caneyville, Anna Johnson (Jimmy) of Leitchfield, Lennie Henning and Virginia Henning, both of Axtel, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Hazelwood McClellan; a daughter, Janice Stevenson; three brothers, Freddie, Tommy and Jack McClellan; and a sister, Lucille Lewis.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (March 03, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Todd Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in the McDaniels Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
