
The overwhelmingly successful Grayson County Schools mobile food service program is eliminating pickup service at four area school campus.’
The program, which began on March 16, delivered nearly 14,000 meals during the first nine days of operation, an average of 1,555 meals per day.
Incorporated into food delivery routes were pickup services at Grayson County High School, Grayson County Middle School, Lawler Elementary School, and Clarkson Elementary School. Those locations will no longer provide food pickup services in response to social distancing mandates and to focus on “providing the best service to the most families …”
The following statement was issued by Grayson County Schools regarding forgoing on-site pickup:
“All mobile bus routes and delivery will continue with no changes. We will discontinue on-site school pickup as we focus on providing the best service to the most families, while also enhancing social distancing for both our children and our staff.”
