Elsie Lorene Raymer, age 95, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 9, 2020) at the Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.
She was born on January 5, 1925 in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Sol and Mae Stinson Anderson.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed word search books, she loved talking with everyone (using her quick wit), reading her bible and attending Sunday School, tending her flowers, playing bingo, an avid UK fan, loved Kentucky Fried Chicken and singing alto in the church choir, and was a the longest standing and faithful member of the Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane Raymer, two grandsons, Shannon Raymer Jr of Caneyville, KY and Shane Raymer of Wichita, KS, one great-granddaughter, Noelle Raymer, several step children, one brother, James Russell Anderson (Grace) of North Carolina, two sisters, Mary Redmond of Louisville and Doris Randols of Elizabethtown KY and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Raymer and her second husband, Claude Hack, her son, Shannon Raymer Sr. two grandsons, three sisters, Ruby Renfrow, Pauline Mudd and Ann Young and two brothers, Chester Anderson and a stillborn brother.
