After being closed for over three months due to the coronavirus pandemic, Leitchfield’s city parks will reopen on Friday under social distancing and other guidelines.

City officials said the parks, Beville, Dewitt, and Firefighters Memorial, will be sanitized each morning, Monday through Friday, at 7:00.

Officials ask patrons of the parks to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Wash or sanitize hands frequently, and practice good hygiene (bring sanitizer)
  • Stay 6-feet apart from people who do not live in your household
  • Throw all wipes, gloves and trash in garbage cans

Official do not mandate but rather recommend people wear face coverings.

A maximum of 25 people will be allowed in playground areas.
