Munfordville woman walking on I-65 struck, killed

A Munfordville woman walking on I-65 has been killed after being struck by a vehicle.

According to Kentucky State Police, Wednesday night at approximately 10:00, troopers responded to the 58 mile marker of northbound I-65, near Horse Cave, on the report of a pedestrian being struck.

Upon arriving at the scene, police determined that 57-year-old Lisa Swarm was walking in the left travel lane of the highway when she was struck by a Ford Escape, being driven by 28-year-old Anthony Andres, of Wauwatosam, Wisconsin.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by Trooper Robert Hartley.
