Patty Sue Cardwell, age 69 of Louisville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 9th 2020 at the Baptist Hospital in Louisville. She was born October 4th 1950 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Archie Hillard Ashley, Sr. & Essie Mae Embry Ashley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends, Ginseng digging in the Summers, and she especially loved the thrill and excitement of the casino crowd.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Samson (Rocky) & Eugenia Kimmel (Chris Scott), one brother, Archie Ashley, Jr., two sisters, Janice Beasley & Argie Kiper, her grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Trevor, James, Devin, & Madison, and her great-grandchildren, Mia, Avery, & Easton.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, July 13th 2020 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest at the Wilson Home Cemetery immediately following the services. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
All those who wish to honor and remember Patty Cardwell in person at the visitation or service are encouraged to wear a mask while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
