A traffic stop by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the seizure of heroin and methamphetamine in Anneta.

Friday night at approximately 7:50, Deputy Andy Vincent was on patrol on Foxwood Circle, in Anneta, after police received complaints about alleged drug activity in the area. While on patrol, Vincent observed a 2001 Isuzu Stylus with an expired registration plate.

Upon making contact with the driver, 47-year-old Roger W. Noe, of Louisville, the deputy determined he was likely under the influence of drugs. Sgt. Zane Greer performed a field sobriety test, which Noe failed.

During a search of the vehicle, which Noe consented to, deputies located methamphetamine in two backpacks, one in the front passenger seat, the other in the back seat, according to the arrest citation.

Additionally, Deputy Sean Fentress located a “tool kit in a storage compartment located under the back seat,” where he observed a “brown powdery substance in a baggie,” as well as methamphetamine in a separate baggie.

The brown substance field tested positive for heroin.

Aluminum foil was also located and had “multiple burn spots as well as white powder like residue lying on top of it,” according to the citation.

Deputies additionally found located multiple drug and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Noe was arrested and charged with DUI (controlled substance), two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin, methamphetamine) and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (heroin, methamphetamine) along with several non-moving violations.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
