The Grayson County High School softball program is in search of a new head coach following the resignation of Eddie Anderson this week.

Anderson spent three years at the helm of the Lady Cougars compiling a record of 26-35. In his first season, the team advanced to the 3rd Region championship game before falling short against Apollo.

In 2019, the Lady Cougars struggled out of the gate but ended on a positive note by upsetting Butler County in the 12th District semi-finals.

In hopes of building on a good ending to the previous season, the Lady Cougars were looking to find themselves with a better record in 2020. The team never took the field together though as the season was canceled in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The next head coach of the program will look to replace five seniors but will have multiple underclassmen returning with limited varsity experience.
