In an announcement on Monday morning, Grayson County High School named Ted Hill as the new head coach of the Lady Cougar softball program.

Hill currently serves as the head coach of the Lady Cougar Basketball team and will remain in that position in addition to coaching the softball team.

The move follows the resignation of Eddie Anderson earlier this month.  Anderson served three years as the head coach of the Lady Cougars with a record of 26-35.

In his first season at the helm of the Lady Cougar basketball program, Hill led the team to a 20-13 record and a berth in the 3rd Region tournament.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 softball team never took the field in game action last season and will look to replace five seniors on next year’s team.

Hill is married to Amber, a teacher at Wilkey, and has two daughters.
