A Caneyville felon has been arrested on drug and gun charges after a traffic stop by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.

Wednesday morning at approximately 2:00, Sgt. Zane Greer and Deputy Sean Fentress were leaving an unrelated traffic stop in Caneyville when they spotted 37-year-old Brady Noe, a felon police had been looking for, drive by in a Saturn passenger car, police said.

Greer and Fentress conducted a traffic stop on Noe on Southland Drive for faulty equipment. Upon making contact with Noe, Greer immediately spotted a handgun in his waistband. The sergeant disarmed Noe without incident, Greer said.

During a search of the vehicle, police located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Noe was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two passengers, 59-year-old Kenneth Brooks and 51-year-old Anthony D. Lykins, both of Caneyville, were also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

All three suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
