The Lady Cougar volleyball team made short work of their match Thursday at Edmonson County, winning 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-12). The Lady Cougars are now 14-1 for the season.

Senior Ella Robinson led the team with 19 kills and eight digs. Senior Chloe Cox added 11 kills and six digs, while senior libero Bailey Richardson led with 28 assists. Senior Kenzie Skaggs and sophomore Lillie Payne each had five service aces to lead the team.

The Lady Cougars were never in danger in the first set as they blitzed the LadyCats 25-10.

Behind the serving of Skaggs, Grayson County raced out to a 10-1 lead in the second set. The LadyCats were able to close the gap to five points at 14-9, but leading 16-10, Payne served three straight points, including an ace, to push the lead back up to nine, 19-10.

With Richardson serving at set points, an Edmonson hitting error gave the second set to the Lady Cougars.

Skaggs served three straight points, including an ace, to give the Lady Cougars an early 5-1 lead in the final set and they steadily pulled away afterward.

Grayson County served a match point at 24-11, but the LadyCats earned a rally point to stave off the loss. On the next Edmonson serve, however, Cox put away a kill to give the match to the Lady Cougars.
