4 arrested on drug charges at Grayson Co. Sheriff’s Office traffic stop

Four people have been arrested after the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office executed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Tuesday morning at approximately 1:45, Grayson County Sgt. Zane Greer and Deputy Sean Fentress were patrolling the parkway west of Caneyville when Greer clocked a westbound Pontiac Montana driving 84 miles per hour. Greer and Fentress executed a traffic stop on the minivan near the 93 mile marker.

Upon making contact with the driver, 22-year-old Ricardo Resendez, of Trenton, Tennessee, police determined he was under the influence of a substance.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Resendez was arrested and charged with DUI (excludes alcohol), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and speeding 14 mph over the limit.

Also arrested were three passengers, 38-year-old Juan Cartagena, 37-year-old Narciso Garcia, and 19-year-old Jeison Perez, all of Trenton, Tennessee.

The three passengers were charged with public intoxication (excludes alcohol), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four suspects were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
