Pedestrian struck, killed after walking in front of vehicle on I-65

Kentucky State Police is investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on I-65 in Warren County.

According to KSP, troopers were requested to respond to the fatal accident at approximately 7:00 Sunday night near the 23 mile marker in Bowling Green.

Police said the initial investigation indicates that 22 year-old Brandi Willis, of Champaign, Illinois, was driving a 2020 Kia passenger vehicle south in the left lane when a man entered the roadway and walked into the path of Willis’ vehicle.

The man, who has not been identified by police, was struck and killed. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities described the victim as standing 5-feet-6 and weighing about 130 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by Trooper Brent Davis.
