The Lady Cougars put four players into double figures Friday night in the Cougar Den to win their fourth game in a row after starting the season at 0-4, 51-37 over Whitesville Trinity.

Seniors Rachael Snyder and Ella Robinson, along with sophomores Aryssa Riggs and Annie Kiper all scored 10 points. Snyder added team-highs of 12 rebounds and four assists. Robinson added 11 rebounds and two steals. Kiper added six rebounds, three assists and a team-high five steals.

It was all Grayson County in the first quarter after the Lady Cougars scored the first nine points of the game. They led by 13 points, 22-9 at the start of the second period.

Trinity was able to shave a point off the lead at the half as the Lady Cougars led by 12, 33-21 at the break.

Robinson hit a short jumper with 2:43 left in the third quarter that gave the Lady Cougars their largest lead to that point, 16 points at 40-24. They still led by 16 points, 43-27 at the start of the fourth quarter.

After Trinity opened the scoring in the final period to cut the lead to 14, Riggs and junior Raigan Cave hit back-to-back threes to give the Lady Cougars their largest lead of the night, 20 points at 49-29 with 6:19 left. Trinity would outscore the Lady Cougars 8-2 the rest of the way but it hardly mattered as they collected their fourth win in a row.

Sophomore guard Josie Aull led the Lady Raiders with 24 points, including three shots from behind the arc.

Cave finished with six points, while freshman Coray Milam added five points off the bench to complete the Lady Cougar scoring.
