A Falls of Rough man is facing multiple charges after leading police on a pursuit from the Western Kentucky Parkway into McLean County.

Kentucky State Police said that on Friday afternoon at 1:54, officers observed a 2007 Toyota traveling east on the parkway at a high rate of speed near Central City.  Police attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver, 20-year-old Michael Blalock, refused to stop as the suspect continued east on the parkway.

Blalock then exited the parkway at Central City and fled into McLean County where the suspect lost control of the Toyota, traveled off the road and overturned.

Blalock was airlifted to Ascension Saint Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, with non-life threatening injuries, police said, and a passenger, Brenden Delawrence, of Vine Grove, was transported to Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, also with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues and charges are pending.
