A man has shot himself after a police pursuit in Breckinridge County.
Thursday morning at approximately 2:00, the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office and Hardinsburg Police Department attempted to execute a traffic stop on Hwy 60 on a suspected impaired driver, according to a report by WXBC.com.
The driver fled police as the vehicle turned onto Old Hwy 60 and pulled into a car wash.
Authorities ordered the driver, 30-year-old Devon Clark, of Indiana, to exit the vehicle. But Clark instead shot himself.
He was transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
