A prostitute has been arrested after accidentally shooting another prostitute while trying to shoot a customer.
The Florence Police Department responded to the shooting Saturday night at Charleston Pines Apartments. Upon arriving, police learned the prostitute, 21-year-old Brooke Litchfield, of Louisville, and another, unnamed prostitute, were hired by a male client.
An altercation among the three apparently occurred, with Litchfield brandishing a gun and taking a shot at the client. She instead struck the other prostitute.
Litchfield transported the victim to a local hospital. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to media reports.
Litchfield was later arrested and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and robbery. She was lodged in the Boone County Detention Center.
The other prostitute and the client also face prostitution-related charges.
