KSP Post 4 October Activity Report: Troopers arrest over 300 suspects, including 31 impaired drivers

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its October Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 1,904 citations and arrested 31 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 53 criminal cases, made 313 arrests and served 106 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 494 speeders and issued citations to 137 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with seven citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 68 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 124 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 215 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 89 school and business security checks and answered 786 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 334 special details and conducted seven community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during November and throughout the remainder of 2021.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
