Ella McCrady Embry, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 16, 2021) at her residence.
She was born on September 25, 1947 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late Virgil and Ruby Mudd McCrady.
She retired from IMS Manufacturing where she worked as a trainer. Her greatest honor in life was being the world’s best mamma and great-grandma. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially Sunday dinner with her family. She was a member of Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Embry, daughter, Ronda Embry and significant other, Richard Basham; grandchildren, Nick Schmierer, Samantha Schmierer (Will, Raelynn and Penelope Cope), Michael Embry (Abigale), Sean Embry (Chelsea), and Jacob Embry; great grandchildren, Jude, Jackson, Jensen, Ezra and Elias; brothers, James McCrady and Kenny McCrady; sisters, Esther McCrady and Ruby Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Embry; great-grandson, Griffin Embry; and sister, Jeanette Mudd.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 20, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
