KSP Activity Report: Troopers make nearly 450 arrests, cite over 500 speeders in Dec.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its December 2021 Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 2,193 citations and arrested 34 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 47 criminal cases, made 447 arrests and served 100 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 525 speeders and issued citations to 155 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with nine citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 38 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 151 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 251 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 121 school and business security checks and answered 804 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 439 special details and conducted 15 community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during January and throughout 2022.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
