On Tuesday morning at approximately 9:00, Kentucky State Police received a report of a body in the yard of a residence located off Hwy 1651 in Whitley City, in McCreary County.
Upon arriving at the scene, KSP detectives discovered 79-year-old Vinson W. Tucker, of Stearns, deceased.
Police said video surveillance obtained from a nearby residence revealed several dogs attacked and fatally injured Tucker, according to media reports. The dogs were located near the scene and put down by authorities.
Police have not located the dog’s owner[s], if one or more exists, but if those responsible for the animals are found they could face prosecution.
The bodies of the dogs were sent to the State Veterinarian to be tested for rabies.
