Former LaRue County High School Principal Kyle Goodlett has pled guilty to federal charges accusing him of uploading nude images from cell phones he confiscated from students.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said the 37-year-old Goodlett, of Elizabethtown, pled guilty on Tuesday to transporting and possessing child pornography. The plea agreement said Goodlett was principal when the person making the complaint was a student at LaRue County, and had access to nude images of the student when he confiscated her cell phone.

It also said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified Kentucky State Police that Goodlett's online file storage account included images of the complainant and another minor female.

Goodlett was principal at LaRue County from 2013 until he was terminated in October 2016. He faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison, and could receive as many as 20 years when he is sentenced in U.S. District Court on October 20.
