Friday morning at approximately 8:00, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Falls of Rough Fire Department and EMS responded to the 3600 block of Olaton Road on the report of a two-vehicle accident.

Upon Chief Deputy Corey Knochel arriving at the scene, he found that a Ford Ranger, being driven by 20-year-old Marion Patterson, of Olaton, and a Dodge Ram 3500, being driven by 32-year-old Erin Hall, also of Olaton, collided as Patterson was driving out of a curve.

Based on marks at the scene, Patterson, driving east, got slightly into the westbound lane as he rounded the curve, hitting the Dodge and tearing off the Ram’s front driver’s side tire.

Both vehicles left the road, with the Ford traveling down a short embankment, and the Dodge driving off the road for about 30 yards before traveling down a 20 foot embankment, coming to rest with the front of the truck in a creek.

All three of the Ram’s occupants, Hall and two children ages 10 and four, were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Patterson, who had a cut on the side of his head, was taken to the ER by a relative.
