Thursday night, Kentucky State Police executed a traffic stop on a vehicle in Beaver Dam.
Upon making contact with the occupants, police discovered one of them to be 39-year-old Christopher D. Kirby, Morgantown, who police say had an active arrest warrant.
During a subsequent search of Kirby, authorities found him to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth, his second such offense, and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
