A former Hart County Deputy Clerk was arrested last week after being indicted on a theft charge.
Recently, Hart County Clerk Lisa Hensley Sanders conducted an internal audit of her office and discovered thefts of cash from several customers by a former deputy county clerk, 28-year-old Chelsea Trulock, of Munfordville.
After presentation to the Hart County Grand Jury, Trulock was indicted for theft by unlawful taking, more than $10,000, but less than $100,000, and abuse of public trust.
Trulock was lodged in the Hart County Jail but has since bonded out of custody.
