Man who burglarized Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel arrested; 2 others also nabbed

Police have made three arrests in connection to the September 13 burglary at Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel.

On Wednesday, the Leitchfield Police Department, along with the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Center Pointe Road, in White Mills. Police said during the execution of the warrant, officers located items that had been stolen during the burglary. Officers also located drugs, paraphernalia, a firearm, and detonation cords.

Police arrested 38-year-old Jennifer Kay Wills, 38, of White Mills, and charged her with receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested on Wednesday was 55-year-old Gary W. Hawks, of White Mills, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing/distributing explosives without a permit, and possession of marijuana.

They were both transported to the Hardin County Detention Center.

On Thursday morning in Hardin County, police arrested the man responsible for the burglary, 35-year-old James Neal Sullivan, of Cecilia. He was charged with burglary and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.

Sullivan, who was inside the funeral home for several hours, stole electronics and the clothes of a deceased man whose funeral services were held last week.

The case is still under investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.
